Hi, Janet,
I looked into it and you are so right! The finished chest measurements as listed are incorrect. They should be: 20 (21 1/2, 23)" that relate to sizes 12 (18, 24) mos. I have asked our web person to make the changes on the site. We used the bear as the "model" just for fun since she's the size of an average 12-month old.

Sorry for any inconvenience,
Cari

Hi, Mary,
The pattern is correct as written. Because the jacket (modeled by my granddaughter, may I add...) is a swing-type, you don't want a tight edging because you want it to flare out.
Hope this helps!

I am knitting the Jardin Baby Jacker by Melissa Matthay. In the direction for the front it does not specify to change to larger needles after the six rows of seed stitch where witching to stockinet stitch. I'm sure that I should switch to the larger needles. Do you agree? is this an error in the directions?

Thanks
