I received an interesting e-mail from a reporter in Sweden, asking why the Sundsvall throw was named for that Swedish town. (All Country projects are named for cities around the world.) Here’s what Kristina wrote:
Just a coincidence? Must be a lucky one…
I come from the north of Sweden where Sundsvall is and the colours match perfectly. The town lies by the sea and the in the north whe have fantastic autumn colours. The plum and red look just like Sundsvall by autumn, purple cold sea water and red leaves and moss.
Thanks for a great newsletter, by the way!
Lots of fun for crochet-nerds like me.
Hope you have a fine, colourful autumn!!
Kristina

Hello, This is not a comment of the Swedish Throw, but I can not find any other place to contact Caron. I love all the Caron yarns. I greatly appreciate the lovely free patterns provided. I do have a problem with some of them, Woodcliff Throw in particular. I have tried in vain to enlarge the printed pattern, especially the diagram on how to put it together. I do not have the ability to do that with a pdf file. Please consider your older patrons or people who may have some visual handicaps with this problem. I do realize that if the type were larger it would take more paper to print, but I am willing to do that.
Thank you for your consideration
Thanks for your message, Kathy. It appears that the original chart for the Woodcliff throw was lost in a computer crash a couple years ago, so I apologize that all we have is what is on the website. I printed out the chart from the website and was able to enlarge it by 150% and can mail it to you. It’s still legible, but you may need to use magnifyers if your eyesight requires them. Just send me your mailing address and I’ll pop the chart in the mail to you.
Cari
Something I forgot to mention. If we enlarged the chart on the website, when people printed it out, it would end up on two pages and often that means that some of the chart would be missing. It’s just the way some printers work.
I would also love to make this afghan if it’s possible to get the chart
