Jan’s the Man – and (such) a doll!
November 7, 2011 by Cari
If you’re a Twitter or Facebook follower, you might have seen Jan’s tweets and posts, but many of you have probably never met Caron’s “fearless leader” for marketing. He’s the guy who OK’s everything that goes on around here, from free projects to new yarns. Here he is with his very own amigurumi self, thanks to crocheter extraordinaire and good buddy KJ Hay. Note how fully equipped also-Jan is, complete with iPhone, Blackberry – and the ever-present Diet Pepsi!

Love the doll! I’ve been looking for a pattern to make a boy/man doll and just can’t find one.
Any ideas?
Have you checked on Ravelry for a pattern?
I’ve looked about every place and can’t find guy doll. Sure don’t want to give up but running outta time to make this for a Christmas gift. BOO– HOO.
The doll was a surprise gift for Jan and not intended to have a pattern to make him (goodness knows, having a bunch of Jans running around would mean I would definitely have to invest in Pepsi stock….). My suggestion woudl be to just make a female doll but don’t put in the 2 bumps on the upper front.
I just put “crocheted boy doll patterns” into the Google search for images and came up with a ton of links: https://www.google.com/search?q=crocheted+boy+doll+pattern&hl=en&biw=1440&bih=680&prmd=imvns&source=lnms&tbm=isch&ei=FMDDTu_XBcXw0gGg3fGbDw&sa=X&oi=mode_link&ct=mode&cd=2&ved=0CCgQ_AUoAQ You shoudl have better luck now.
THANK YOU!!!!!
I found patterns that I can use because of your email. My Great Granddaughter will just love the doll.
You are a real doll.
